A community-centred vision for healthcare
The Tzu Chi Foundation Integrative Community Health & Wellness Centre was established with a vision to provide compassionate, accessible, and multidisciplinary healthcare for individuals who may face barriers accessing services elsewhere.
Expanding beyond traditional single-discipline healthcare models, the centre was created to encourage collaboration between different healthcare professionals and services, allowing care to be more connected, supportive, and responsive to each person’s unique circumstances.
Our goal is to create a welcoming environment where individuals and families feel respected, understood, and supported throughout their healthcare journey.
Inspired by compassion and humanitarian values
The centre reflects the humanitarian spirit and values of the Tzu Chi Foundation, which has long been dedicated to serving communities through compassion, relief, healthcare, education, and volunteerism.
At the heart of the centre is the belief that healthcare should care for the whole person, addressing not only physical health but also emotional wellbeing, dignity, comfort, and quality of life.
This philosophy guides every aspect of the centre’s approach to patient care, community support, and collaborative healthcare delivery.
Integrative and multidisciplinary care
The Integrative Community Health & Wellness Centre brings together healthcare professionals from multiple disciplines to support more comprehensive and coordinated care.
Rather than treating healthcare needs in isolation, the centre encourages collaboration between services to better understand the broader challenges and wellbeing needs of each individual.
This integrative approach may support:
- Improved coordination of care
- More personalised healthcare experiences
- Better communication between healthcare providers
- Greater emotional and practical support for patients and families
- Holistic wellbeing outcomes
By working together, healthcare professionals can provide more thoughtful and patient-centred care for individuals with specialised needs and complex circumstances.

Supporting vulnerable individuals and families
The centre focuses on supporting people who may experience challenges accessing healthcare services due to medical, developmental, emotional, financial, or social barriers.
We understand that some individuals may require additional patience, flexibility, understanding, and support to feel comfortable receiving care.
Supporting and caring for:
- People seeking asylum
- Newly arrived refugees during their settlement journey
- Vulnerable single-parent families
- Individuals and families impacted by domestic and family violence
- Older adults from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities
Every individual is treated with dignity, kindness, and respect.

Charity and pro-bono community services

In its first phase, the Integrative Community Health & Wellness Centre continues to focus on charity and pro-bono services for vulnerable members of the community.
This initiative reflects a strong commitment to improving accessibility to healthcare and wellbeing services for people who may otherwise struggle to receive the support they need.
The centre aims to continue expanding its services and collaborative healthcare model to support broader community wellbeing in the future.
Dedicated volunteers and healthcare professionals

The centre is supported by a compassionate team of volunteers and healthcare professionals who generously contribute their time, expertise, and skills in service to the community.
Their dedication helps create an environment where patients and families can feel genuinely cared for and supported.
This shared commitment to compassion and humanitarian service is an important part of the centre’s identity and purpose.
A safe and welcoming environment

The Integrative Community Health & Wellness Centre has been thoughtfully designed to provide a calm, welcoming, and supportive healthcare environment.
From sensory-supportive spaces to patient-focused care approaches, every effort is made to help individuals feel comfortable and reassured during their visits.
We believe that positive healthcare experiences can make a meaningful difference in a person’s confidence, wellbeing, and long-term relationship with healthcare.
